Precision Hunter

Precision Hunter is a 3 day, long range precision rifle course created and taught by former Recon Scout Sniper, Guy Higgins. This course introduces students of any experience level to the tools, knowledge and mindset necessary to achieve long range shots on target while also mastering the field craft of remaining unseen.

Not only will students be able to engage targets from 0-1000 yards, students will be exposed to camouflage and concealment techniques to remain hidden from whatever they are hunting!

Gear List:

  • Rifle that holds 1 MOA or better

  • Scope with ability to dial corrections

  • Bipods

  • SS Loophole Sling(2 point sling is fine)

**If you do not have these items, do not worry. These are extra items that will assist your learning and success during the course, but they are not a course stopper if you do not have them. We will have extra equipment available at the course for students to use, learn and train with.  


Training Day 1 

Location: Ready Gunner Classroom


  • 3:00pm

    • Check in at the desk, sign Ready Gunner Waiver on Kiosk

  • 3:30pm

    • Class Begins

    • Bring food and water to eat and drink during class.

  • 9:00pm

    • Class ends

Training Day 2

Location: Shooting Range (Location Briefed the night prior)

  • 9:00am

    • Showtime, Range/Safety Brief

  • 9:30am

    • Line Hot, Data collection

  • 1:00pm

    • Lunch

  • 2pm-6pm

    • Shooting Qualifications, Max Effective Range Shoot, Test Review

Training Day 3

Location: Concealment Lane (Location Briefed the night prior)

  • 9:00am

    • Showtime, Overview Safety Brief

  • 9:30am

    • Written test

  • 10:30am

    • Concealment Prac app

  • 12:00pm

    • Lunch

  • 1pm-finish

    • FFP class, final movement/concealment, class pic, graduation/certificate handouts

**Weather Policy:  We shoot rain or shine so come prepared for any possible weather conditions. Classes will continue as planned despite inclement weather conditions during the range portion becomes too severe to safely continue. If severe weather prevents us from completing 50% of the range day curriculum, students may receive credit towards a future course.  Please come prepared for Utah weather.

**Cancellation Policy: Due to the small class size and limited availability the following cancellation policy is strictly enforced.  Full refunds will only be granted upon receipt of written notice of cancellation up to 30 days prior to the course.  Up to 15 days prior to the course a 50% refund will be issued upon written notice of cancellation or the student can pay a $75 change fee to be moved to a future class.  Within 15 days of the course dates, no refunds will be provided.   Please ensure your travel plans and availability before signing up.
